About Queen Bee Bridal – Wedding dress shop Oxfordshire
Kate Taylor-Norris (Owner) : I just love all things wedding and creative! Having run my own wedding planning business in the past, had a very grown up job in B2B event management and guest speaker hosting, and freelancing my floral skills to a highly respected local florist….my heart finally took over and a 20 year dream to open a bridal boutique was born: Queen Bee Bridal. My first priority is that every bride, including whichever family and friends she brings along, has a fun, relaxing and magical experience with us.
Why the name Queen Bee? Because of course every beautiful bride is Queen Bee for the day! But also because I am keen to support and give back, this is not just a dream or a business venture, it’s an opportunity to do more.
The future of the planet is in our hands, and the declining bee population is something that is close to my heart, so £10 of every dress sold in our boutique will be gifted to The Bumblebee Conservation Trust for ongoing research, preservation and educational work with schools.
Our Location in Mapledurham Village : Mapledurham House is a beautiful Elizabethan privately owned stately home located on the banks of the Thames with it’s very own working water mill. The house and surrounding village have been used for filming such as the 1976 The Eagle Has Landed and also for several television series, including Midsomer Murders.
It is also reputed to have been the inspiration for E. H. Shepard’s illustrations of Toad Hall for Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind in the Willows, although this is also claimed by several other beautiful local country houses! Poop-Poop!
Our boutique : our gorgeous boutique is always warm and welcoming and home to a carefully curated and stunning collection of bridal collections and perfect accessories. Our unique premises is something that you are unlikely to forget, with beautiful architectural features throughout to make your journey even more memorable! We are very proud of the luxury environment that we have created and we can’t wait to see you very soon at Queen Bee bridal, wedding dress shop Oxfordshire.
